Adventures in Art

Adventures in Art is a “problem solving” camp where campers will make up a problem for the purposes of the camp, and will then use art materials and techniques to create solutions. This camp utilizes engineering, building, and using the process of “Artistic Thinking.” As the campers will be collaborating and problem solving rather than working on aesthetics, the artwork that is produced will not be as exhibition ready as in other art camps that I teach. In my opinion, this camp offers the most access to creative thinking for campers, and will teach students real world strategies for creative problem solving.
